According to The Quint,
Along with his Meitei mother and another relative, a seven-year-old tribal child who had been shot while in an Assam Rifles relief camp was burned alive in Imphal on the evening of Sunday, June 4, when the ambulance they were riding in was stopped by a mob and set on fire. As the father has added that "I am yet to recieve the bodies, and am too scared to go to the police station".

Imphal: Security personnel today conducted joint combing operations in vulnerable areas in Manipurs hills and valleys.
The goal of the combing operations was to recover stolen weapons that were still being held against their will by locals while also physically dominating villages to defuse tensions.
According to India TV,
Notably, during his recent visit to Manipur, Union Home Minister Amit Shah urged the populace to surrender all firearms and ammunition to the government in order to keep the peace. The appeal included a disclaimer regarding a "search-and-combing operation" strategy and stated that anyone detected in possession of firearms during the operation would face legal repercussions.
