The Banglore water crisis brings awareness to Hyderabad. Tankers restock water supplies at the Nandinagar residence of former Telangana chief minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao.

Hyderabad edging towards drinking water crisis!

According to Telangana Today, The upcoming summer months will undoubtedly be difficult due to declining levels in the citys primary water source, the reservoirs, and mediocre groundwater levels brought on by insufficient rainwater harvesting.

Water used to be plentiful in the city overall, despite the fact that very few areas ever experienced shortages. The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB), on the other hand, appears to be less organized this time around, as evidenced not only by the delayed water tanker deliveries but also by their initial increase in bookings.

Many residential colonies in Hyderabad have expressed dissatisfaction with the inconsistent municipal water supply and tanker delivery, particularly those near the IT corridor. Even though there is a consistent water supply in some places, the pressure is insufficient to meet their needs.

The upcoming summer months will undoubtedly be difficult due to declining levels "Although its only early March, there has been a slight increase in demand. However, a water tanker company owner in Katedan predicted that April and May would see a high volume of orders.

Prices range from Rs 600 to Rs 2,000 for a 5,000-liter tanker. Additional fees are incurred if the filling station is located far from the delivery location.

Not only does Bengaluru have thirsty monkeys, but it also has them. Animals are turning to peoples houses and high-rise buildings for safety, shelter, and food as summer temperatures climb and the lack of water deepens.
Residents have been complaining to the citys civic body, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), on a regular basis about monkeys breaking into their homes in quest of food and drink, stealing meals from parents and children, and even attacking them.
“We have taken away the habitat of the monkeys to build such apartments and expect them to go elsewhere. They are accustomed to the trees, fruits and vegetables available around and come to consume it. We have deprived them of their natural habitat, compelling them to forcibly enter homes as they are hungry," the senior official explained. WHAT SHOULD RESIDENTS DO?
BLG Swamy, Deputy Conservator of Forests at BBMP, said the civic body receives three to four complaints on the helpline every week.
Swamy explained that this department receives complaints from residents, including instances of monkeys entering homes and causing trouble. People are found feeding monkeys and giving them water from their homes, but this is done irregularly and unscientifically, the official pointed out.
