Will the World Survive the Next Pandemic? Here is what W.H.O said...

According to NDTV,
at a time when COVID instances are somewhat stabilising globally, the head of the World Health Organisation (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, issued a warning that the world must prepare for the next pandemic, which may be "even deadlier" than the COVID-19 pandemic. "The end of COVID-19 as a global health emergency is not the end of COVID-19 as a global health threat," stated Mr. Tedros.
The risk of a new virus arising with even greater capacity for death also persists, as does the risk of another variety causing new outbreaks of sickness and death.
The COVID-19 virus is still a threat to world health, according to Ghebreyesus. "The end of COVID-19 as a global health emergency is not the end of COVID-19 as a global health threat," he added.
"The threat of another variant emerging that causes new surges of disease and death, and the threat of another pathogen emerging with even deadlier potential, remains," he continued.
