When is the next plandemic?
According to Hindustan Times,
Tedros claimed that Covid-19 had important ramifications for the 2030 deadline-based Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which include health-related ambitions. Progress towards the Triple Billion targets, which were unveiled during the 2017 World Health Assembly, was also hampered by the pandemic.
Prior to Covid-19, Tedros acknowledged that most nations had already recovered from the pandemic and that it had been on a decreasing trend for more than a year. He lamented the harm done to the whole community by the pandemic, claiming that the virus had destroyed enterprises and driven millions into poverty.
According to Business Today,
The head of the health organisation then recommended everyone to get ready for the upcoming pandemic.
"We must be ready to answer decisively, collectively, and fairly when the next pandemic comes knocking, and it will," he warned.
The head of WHO then spoke on how the COVID-19 pandemic affected the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), saying that the epidemic had thrown the timeline off, but that the organisation will quickly get back on track.
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) must remain our north star, he continued, and we must pursue them with the same fervour and tenacity that we used to fight the pandemic. Although the pandemic has thrown us off course, it has also demonstrated why we must do so.
