Delhi Police officer kicks men offering namaz, suspended

According to Indian Express, The officer was identified as a Sub-Inspector, in-charge of the Inderlok police post in north Delhi. The incident triggered tension and protests in the area.

A Delhi Police Sub-Inspector was suspended immediately after it was discovered on camera that Friday afternoon kicking individuals who were doing namaz outside a mosque on an Inderlok road in Delhi.

The person was recognized as the Sub-Inspector in charge of the north Delhi police post at Inderlok. Protests and tensions in the area were brought on by the incident.

In an apparent attempt to get the guys to leave the area, Tomar was seen pushing and kicking some men who were offering namaz in a rumored video recording of the incident. Two additional police officers could be seen in the video footage following Tomar and yelling at the devotees to fold their mats and vacate the area.
