54 Dead, 400 Hospitalized In 72 Hours In UP Hospital Due To Severe Heat, 12 Dead In Bihar Too

Most locations in the UP have experienced temperatures north of 40 degrees due to a strong heatwave. The hospital has become overcrowded as a result of the abrupt rise in fatalities and the number of patients being admitted with fever, respiratory problems, and other problems; this has alerted the personnel.

According to SK Yadav, the District Hospital Ballias in-charge Medical Superintendent, 23 patients passed away on June 15, 20 the following day, and 11 yesterday. Diwakar Singh, the District Hospitals Chief Medical Superintendent (CMS), told reporters that fans, coolers, and air conditioners had been installed at the facility to reduce the danger of heat stroke for both patients and employees.






The increase in patients has also led to an increase in the number of physicians and other medical personnel, he added. Ballia has experienced "severe heat" over the previous two days, resulting in at least 54 deaths and 400 hospital admissions. According to officials, all of the victims were over 60 and had various medical conditions that the heat may have made worse, causing them to pass away.
